About Us

Director Tyson and his wife Bec have always wanted to start their own Air-conditioning company but knew experience, maturity and business acumen couldn’t just be wished into existence. As such they spent the first 15 years of their working lives ensuring they built up the skills and real-world credibility to deliver for Byson Air and its clients.

Tyson learnt his skills on the job working for 2 great local businesses ultimately resulting in him managing and running the commercial services arm for the immediate 7yrs prior to Byson Air. This taught him a great deal about all aspects of business. Over the journey he amassed a wealth of long term relationships through honesty, a strong work ethic and a mindset of first seeking to find a simple cost effective solution to an Air-conditioning fault rather than the industry common response of “we need to replace the whole unit” usually at more profit to the company. He has worked across such a variety of work spaces, air conditioning units and clientele and as a result is “a go to person” for break down/service faults in Victoria. New clientele often initially coming to him as a 2nd opinion leading to him delighting them with a simple and quick fix, which results in him being the 1st call for every subsequent job.

Bec a Corporate Banker who studied Commerce/arts with an honours year in Business Management has spent her working life supporting and analysing businesses. With these skills adds value to the corporate strategy of the business and all important cash flow management.

The name: well Bec and Tyson = Byson obviously, which as dorks, got us thinking of the Air Bison from The Last Airbender which can be summoned via a whistle and is a lifelong companion to the Airbender. An Airbender can manipulate and control air much like an Air-conditioner. As such, we were inspired by the Air Bison. Finally, our last name is Mracek which, in its origin language Czech, means Little Cloud – this all links to Air and the Sky with our “Byson” flying around in the clouds.

Byson Air is about genuine relationships, coming up with solutions where there are none and delivering a quality service. Once you partner with us, we know it will be a long and satisfying relationship where we won’t let you down.

We got Tyson in for a second opinion after we were told my elderly mothers unit needed to be replaced at circa $3k+ cost, he was there for 1 hour and diagnosed a fix that he was able to implement on the spot at the cost to us of a call out fee – to say we were grateful and thankful for getting his 2nd opinion is an understatement
